Feeding Time Review
Incubator Games announced recently that Feeding Time is coming to the App Store. This is a quirky, whimsical puzzle game, that can be played on your iPhone, iPad for iPod Touch.
The purpose of this application is to feed animals and don't let them go hungry. As you can see in this video too, you need to provide the animals with the right food in order to move forward in the game. In other words, you cannot feed a dog with fish or carrots. These are good for cats, respectively rabbits, other animals that you will have to feed. Dogs love bones and this is what you will offer them.
The interface of this application is great, the game being designed especially for children or for those that want to have a good time on their lunch break. A major part of the screen will be occupied by a grid with many squares. The margins of the grid are the place of those animals you have to feed: dogs, cats, rabbits and mice. Dogs eat bones, cats eat fish, rabbit eat carrots and mice eat cheese. You need to find the correct path for an animal in order to feed it with the right food and also in order to earn points. When an animal eats those foods, they disappear from the squares where they were placed, and other foods appear in their place. For example, if a cat eats the fish around it, instead of that fish, there can appear bones or cheese, great for dogs or mice. What you need to do is to make a connection between those bones, for instance, and other bones, placed next to a dog, in order to feed that dog.
The game is rather simple when you get the hang of it and it can really become addictive. The music of this application is also an important aspect that makes you play the game again and again. From time to time, when you feed the animals, you can hear their specific sounds, that replicate very well the sounds of real animals.
You will be capable of competing against friends and showing your scores on global leaderboards. Or you can enjoy a relaxing experience unlocking new areas and power ups. And with the proper attention, no animal will ever go hungry again. All these from March 2012.
